Getting started
- Open Plugins → Commission → Rules & bonus and click Add rule.
- Give the rule a name, choose what it is based on (Sales or Money collected) and the rate in percent.
- For sales rules, choose which products it covers — all products, a category, a brand or one product — and whether it is for everyone or one rep.
Which rule is used
Each order line uses the most specific rule that matches:
- A product rule beats a brand rule, a brand rule beats a category rule, and those beat an "all products" rule.
- A rule for one rep beats the same kind of rule for everyone.
Collection rules pay a percentage of all money received during the month on the rep's orders (cash, cheques, bank transfers). They are added on top of sales commission.
What counts as a sale
- Approved orders dated in the month, after line discounts. Tick Count orders still waiting for approval to include pending orders too.
- Approved returns of the rep's orders are taken off (you can switch this off).
- Cancelled orders never count.
Target bonus
Under Target bonus choose a fixed amount or a percentage of sales, and from what percentage of target it is paid (normally 100%). Targets come from the normal Sales Targets page.
Paying commission
The Commission page lists every rep for the chosen month with sales, collections, target progress, commission, bonus and total. Open a rep to see the breakdown per rule and click Mark as paid. The amounts are frozen at that moment, and you can also record the payment under Expenses (category Commission). Undo payment removes it again, together with the expense.
Download CSV gives the whole month for payroll.
For reps
Reps see My Commission in the field sales app: what they have earned so far this month, target progress, how much more they need for the bonus and past payments.
Who can use it
People with Manage Sales Targets manage rules and payments. People with View Reports can see the figures. Reps with the field sales app see only their own commission.
